Summary

This study tests a 12-session online group therapy program called CARE, designed to help male caregivers (such as fathers) better understand their own and their child's feelings. Seven male-identifying caregivers of children receiving mental health services will participate. The goal is to see if the program is practical and helpful for reducing parenting stress and improving the parent-child relationship.

Active substance

Connecting and Reflecting Experience (CARE) parenting program

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that a tailored parenting program helps male caregivers feel less stressed and more connected to their children.

What could go wrong

This is a very small early study with only 7 participants, so results may not apply to all male caregivers. It focuses on feasibility, not proof of effectiveness.
