First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether a daily oral pill (DMAU), taken alone or with another hormone (LNG), can safely and temporarily lower sperm count in healthy men to prevent pregnancy. 92 men took the pill or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal was to see if sperm counts dropped below a level that makes pregnancy unlikely, offering a new male birth control option.
