NCT ID NCT07398833
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two types of brain stimulation—electrical and magnetic—to see which one better improves working memory. 102 healthy adults will perform memory tasks while receiving stimulation, and their brain activity will be recorded with EEG. The goal is to find out if magnetic stimulation is more comfortable and effective at reaching deep brain areas.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
transcranial alternating magnetic stimulation (tAMS)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a more comfortable and effective way to boost memory using magnetic fields.
What could go wrong
This is an early study in healthy people, not patients. It may not show clear benefits, and results may not apply to memory disorders.
