Powerful magnets target knee pain in seniors

NCT ID NCT07198750

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive, high-intensity pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) device to see if it can reduce pain and improve strength and mobility in older adults with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will compare applying the therapy just to the knee versus applying it to both the knee and thigh muscle. All 64 participants will also follow a home exercise program. The main goal is to see if this magnetic therapy provides better pain relief and functional improvement.
