First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether giving magnesium sulphate to pregnant women at high risk of early delivery can lower the chance of their baby developing cerebral palsy. About 138 women between 32 and 35 weeks of pregnancy will receive either the drug or a placebo before birth. Researchers will then check the babies' brain development over time to see if the treatment helps prevent serious complications.
