First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether taking a magnesium glycinate supplement (480 mg daily) for 12 weeks could lower blood pressure in adults with untreated high blood pressure. 59 participants were randomly assigned to get the supplement or a placebo. The goal was to see if this simple mineral could help control blood pressure.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, over-the-counter supplement to help manage blood pressure without prescription drugs.
