Computers scour old medical records for clues to beat rare bone cancers

NCT ID NCT07215728

Summary

This study used computer programs to analyze old medical records from 700 patients with two rare and aggressive bone cancers, osteosarcoma and Ewing's sarcoma. The goal was to find patterns in the data that could help predict which patients might have better or worse survival outcomes. No new treatments were tested; researchers only looked back at information already collected from patients treated between 2003 and 2012.
