Summary

This study tests whether special alerts in electronic health records can help doctors prescribe opioids more safely. About 1,350 adults who have taken opioids in the past year will take part. The alerts remind doctors to prescribe naloxone, keep doses low, and avoid mixing opioids with certain other drugs.
