NCT ID NCT07438873
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study will test whether wearing dynamic lycra shorts during daily activities can reduce pain and improve stability in adults with hip dysplasia and hypermobility. The study will enroll 12 participants and focus on whether it's feasible to run a larger trial. Researchers will measure changes in hip function and personal goal achievement over time.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
dynamic lycra shorts
What this could lead to
If the shorts help reduce pain and improve stability, this could point toward a simple, non-invasive way to manage hip dysplasia symptoms at home.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early pilot study with only 12 people and no comparison group. It's designed to see if a larger study is even possible, not to prove the shorts work. Results may not apply to everyone.
