Summary
This study tested two different medicine combinations to treat lupus nephritis, a kidney disease caused by lupus. 130 adults with active kidney inflammation took either tacrolimus plus steroids or mycophenolate mofetil plus steroids. The goal was to see which combo better improves kidney function and reduces protein in urine without causing flare-ups.
