Summary
This study followed 385 adults who came to the emergency department with shortness of breath. Doctors used lung ultrasound at the bedside to help diagnose the cause. The goal was to see if this simple, non-invasive test could lower the number of deaths and repeat hospital visits within 3 months. The results could show whether ultrasound improves long-term outcomes compared to standard care.
