First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study checks if using lung ultrasound right after gallbladder surgery can find breathing problems like collapsed lung areas (atelectasis) early. About 110 adults having laparoscopic gallbladder removal with low-flow anesthesia will be scanned. The goal is to see if early detection helps doctors provide oxygen or breathing exercises sooner, possibly preventing complications.
