Summary

This trial is testing whether using a lower or higher flow of fresh gas during general anesthesia affects how well the lungs recover after laparoscopic gallbladder removal. About 120 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either low-flow (0.5 L/min) or high-flow (4 L/min) anesthesia. The researchers will use lung ultrasound 30 minutes after the breathing tube is removed to measure lung aeration and check for collapse (atelectasis). The goal is to see if one approach leads to better lung function after surgery.
