Summary
This study follows 30 lung transplant recipients and healthy volunteers as they prepare for and climb Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak outside Asia. Participants first use a special low-oxygen tent at home for 8 weeks, then attempt the summit with medical monitoring. The goal is to learn how their lungs and bodies adapt to extreme altitude, not to treat or cure their condition.
