First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a machine that automatically reopens parts of the lung during surgery can reduce lung collapse in patients having laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery. About 56 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the automated lung recruitment or standard breathing support. The main goal is to see if the technique lowers the amount of lung collapse seen on ultrasound.
