Summary
This study aims to identify specific proteins in lung fluid that could help doctors understand what causes different types of pneumonia. Researchers will analyze fluid samples from 750 patients undergoing a standard lung washing procedure for diagnosis. The goal is to find biological markers that distinguish between infectious and non-infectious lung inflammation, which could eventually guide better treatment decisions.
