New technique may boost lung cancer cryoablation success
NCT ID NCT07594834
First seen May 19, 2026 ยท Last updated May 19, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new approach for lung cancer patients at high risk of incomplete tumor freezing during cryoablation. Before the freezing procedure, doctors will block small lung arteries with a temporary, absorbable material to improve the freezing effect and reduce bleeding risk. The study involves 20 participants and will compare tumor shrinkage between those who receive the artery blocking and those who do not.
