Starving tumors: new procedure traps chemo inside lung cancer

NCT ID NCT05672108

Summary

This study is testing a minimally invasive procedure called TACE for patients with advanced lung cancer or cancer that has spread to the lungs. TACE works by injecting chemotherapy directly into the artery feeding the tumor and then blocking that artery to cut off the tumor's blood supply. The goal is to see if this targeted approach can safely control or stop the growth of tumors when other standard treatments are no longer working or cannot be used.
