Doctors train Patients' own cells to fight lung cancer in new trial
NCT ID NCT02133196
Summary
This study is testing a personalized cell therapy for adults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors remove a patient's tumor, grow special immune cells from it in a lab, and then infuse a large number of these 'tumor-fighting' cells back into the patient. The main goals are to see if this approach can shrink tumors and is safe for patients.
