Summary
This study tests whether text messages and easy referrals can help more smokers get screened for lung cancer. About 1,036 emergency department patients who smoke or recently quit will be randomly assigned to receive a simple referral, a facilitated referral, or text message reminders. The goal is to see if these strategies increase the number of people who complete a low-dose CT scan within 120 days.
