Personalized radiation dosing may improve prostate cancer therapy
NCT ID NCT07370597
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring the exact radiation dose delivered to tumors can predict which patients with advanced prostate cancer will respond to a targeted radioactive therapy called Lu-177 PSMA. Researchers will track 110 men over 12 weeks to see if dose calculations after the first treatment cycle can identify non-responders early. The goal is to personalize treatment by adjusting doses or cycles for each patient.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Lutetium-177 PSMA radioligand therapy
What this could lead to
If successful, this could allow doctors to personalize radiation doses for prostate cancer patients, potentially improving response rates and reducing ineffective treatments.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage observational study (110 participants) that does not test a new treatment but rather a prediction method. The approach may not reliably predict outcomes, and results may not apply to all patients.
