Lp(a) blood test may reveal hidden heart risks
NCT ID NCT07184034
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This observational study will check if levels of a fatty substance called lipoprotein(a) in the blood are linked to calcium buildup in heart arteries. About 150 adults at intermediate heart risk will get a CT scan and a blood test. The goal is to see if Lp(a) can help detect early heart disease better than standard risk factors.
