Summary

This study tests a program called B-SWELL, designed to help midlife Black women (ages 45-64) lower their heart disease risk by reducing stress and adopting healthier habits. Participants are randomly placed into either the B-SWELL program or a general wellness group, both lasting 8 weeks. The study measures heart health using the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 score, which includes diet, exercise, sleep, and health factors like blood pressure and cholesterol.
