Summary

This study tests a program called B-SWELL that helps midlife Black women (ages 45-64) lower their heart disease risk by reducing stress and adopting healthier habits. About 43 women from the Cincinnati area will be randomly placed into either the B-SWELL program or a general wellness program for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure heart health using the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 score, which includes diet, exercise, sleep, and key health numbers like blood pressure and cholesterol.
