Summary
This completed trial tested whether giving a low-sodium salt substitute to 309 households in rural Bangladesh could lower blood pressure. Community health workers delivered the salt and provided education on high blood pressure and salt intake. The study measured changes in blood pressure after 6 months in adults aged 18 and older.
