First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a low dose of colchicine, a drug usually used for gout, can help people with a certain type of heart failure (HFpEF) and inflammation exercise more easily. About 60 adults aged 50 and older will be randomly assigned to take either colchicine or a placebo for 3 months. Researchers will measure changes in exercise capacity, physical function, and quality of life.
