Kids' IBD drug safety tracked for up to 8 years
NCT ID NCT03196427
Summary
This study aimed to understand the long-term safety of a medication called vedolizumab in children and teenagers with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. It followed 59 young participants who had already responded to the drug in a previous trial, monitoring them for side effects and disease activity for up to eight years. The main goal was to see if the treatment remained safe over a long period while helping control their condition.
