First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study follows about 100 premature babies who were treated for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in an earlier study. Researchers will check their eyesight and overall development over time to see how they are doing. No new treatment is given in this study.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study will help doctors understand the long-term vision and development of premature babies treated for ROP.
What could go wrong
This is an observational follow-up, not a treatment trial. It cannot prove whether the original treatment works or causes harm.
