NCT ID NCT05703399
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study follows 140 breast cancer patients who were part of the original BEAUTY trial. Researchers will collect blood and tissue samples and health information over time to understand why some breast cancers respond to standard chemotherapy and others do not. The goal is to identify markers of resistance and find better treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this research could reveal why some breast cancers resist chemotherapy and point toward new drug combinations or treatments.
What could go wrong
This is an observational follow-up study, not a treatment trial. It may not directly lead to new therapies, and results depend on long-term sample collection and analysis.
