Emergency room tool aims to lock away teen suicide risks

Summary
This study tests a simple decision aid called Lock and Protect in the emergency department. It helps parents of teens who came in for suicidal thoughts or self-harm to safely store medications and firearms at home. The goal is to see if the tool is acceptable and feasible, and if it leads to safer home storage. 50 families from one children's hospital will take part.
