Summary
This study looks at how well the levonorgestrel 52 mg IUD works as emergency contraception (after unprotected sex) or when started later in the menstrual cycle. About 1,400 people from Planned Parenthood clinics across the U.S. will choose to get the IUD as part of their regular care. Researchers will check if they are pregnant one month later using a home pregnancy test or medical records.
