Liver transplant kids may cut meds by half in new trial

NCT ID NCT07549503

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether children who had a liver transplant before age 7 can safely reduce their anti-rejection medication by half. One hundred children will slowly lower their medicine over 18 months while doctors check their liver health with blood tests and biopsies. The goal is to see if they can stay healthy with less medication, not to cure them or stop treatment entirely.
