New contrast agent may improve liver lesion detection on MRI
NCT ID NCT06596616
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compares two MRI contrast agents, gadopiclenol and gadoxetate, to see which one provides clearer images of the liver and better detects liver lesions (including tumors). About 75 adults with chronic liver disease or liver lesions will each receive both contrast agents during separate MRI scans. The goal is to determine if gadopiclenol is as good as or better than the standard agent for spotting liver abnormalities.
