New combo attack on liver tumors shows promise

NCT ID NCT06311851

Summary

This study is testing a new combination treatment for cancer that has spread to the liver. It combines a standard procedure (TACE) that delivers chemotherapy directly to the liver tumor with an added drug (bevacizumab) that aims to starve the tumor by blocking its blood supply. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and effective at controlling the disease and helping patients live longer. The study is recruiting 40 adults with liver metastases who are not candidates for surgery.
