Stronger chemo tested to shrink inoperable liver tumors
NCT ID NCT00208260
Summary
This study tested whether using more intensive chemotherapy combinations could help people with colorectal cancer that had spread to the liver and could not be easily removed by surgery. It compared a standard two-drug treatment against three different, stronger chemotherapy options. The main goals were to see which treatment worked best to shrink tumors, improve survival, and potentially make surgery possible.
