New scan could replace painful liver biopsies for rare disease
NCT ID NCT07492862
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of ultrasound can be used to diagnose a rare liver condition called porto-sinusoidal vascular disorder (PSVD) without needing a surgical biopsy. Researchers will compare the ultrasound results from 100 people who have PSVD to those who have liver cirrhosis. The goal is to find a non-invasive way to tell these two conditions apart, which currently requires a liver biopsy.
