Researchers track HIV patients to unlock secrets of liver disease progression

NCT ID NCT06940375

Summary

This study aims to create better prediction tools for liver disease in people living with HIV. Researchers will follow 320 HIV-positive participants for 5 years to understand how fatty liver disease and liver scarring develop and progress. The goal is to build models that can identify who is at highest risk before serious liver damage occurs.
