Scientists probe hidden link between liver health and kidney stone risk
NCT ID NCT06735924
Summary
This study aims to understand if a common liver condition (MASLD) changes how much oxalate the body makes on its own. Oxalate is a natural substance that, in high amounts, can contribute to kidney stones. Researchers will measure this by having 28 participants follow a special low-oxalate diet and collect their urine for analysis. The goal is to gather basic knowledge, not to test a treatment.
