Two-Procedure combo tested for High-Risk liver disease and obesity

NCT ID NCT07058155

Summary

This study is for people who have both advanced liver disease (cirrhosis) and severe obesity. It compares two treatment paths. One group gets a two-step approach: a minimally invasive liver procedure (TIPS) followed by weight-loss surgery. The other group receives standard medical weight management. The main goal is to see if the combined procedures improve quality of life and lead to better weight loss and safety outcomes over 6 months.
