NCT ID NCT07473375
Summary
This study aims to understand what factors help or hinder the natural resolution of dangerous blood clots in the main vein of the liver (portal vein) in patients with advanced cirrhosis and swollen veins in their esophagus. Researchers will look back at and follow 1,500 patients to identify patterns in who experiences clot clearance at 1 and 5 years, and who does not. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better predict outcomes and manage this serious complication.
