NCT ID NCT05445141
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests a short group program called Little ACF for parents of children aged 1-2 years. The program uses role-play, discussions, and at-home exercises to help parents feel more confident, manage their emotions, and cope with their child's negative feelings. About 670 parents from child health centers will be randomly assigned to either the program or usual care. Researchers will measure changes in parenting skills, stress, and child development over several years.

- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a simple, evidence-based way to support all parents of young children and promote better emotional health for kids.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-stage study measuring questionnaires, not a treatment. The program may not show meaningful benefits over usual care, and results may not apply to all families.
