Urine test may spare bladder cancer patients from unnecessary second surgery

NCT ID NCT07130578

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine test that detects tumor DNA and RNA can help doctors decide which high-risk bladder cancer patients truly need a second surgery. Currently, many patients undergo a repeat procedure, but it may not always be necessary. The goal is to see if the test can accurately identify who still has cancer, potentially avoiding extra surgeries and their risks.
