First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at how fat particles called lipoproteins travel in the blood and how they relate to artery hardening. Researchers studied 759 people, including healthy volunteers and those with high cholesterol or other lipid disorders. Participants received injections of labeled lipoproteins and provided blood and urine samples while following a special diet. The goal was to better understand normal and abnormal fat metabolism, not to test a treatment.
