First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at how lipoproteins, the particles that carry cholesterol in your blood, affect heart health. Researchers want to understand why these particles may not work properly in people with high cholesterol or diabetes, increasing the risk of clogged arteries. The study will involve 80 healthy volunteers and people with lipid disorders, aged 18 to 69. By measuring how platelets clump together and activate, the team hopes to find new ways to prevent and treat heart disease.
