Common cooking oil put to test for blood sugar control
NCT ID NCT07287514
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific oil rich in linoleic acid (a common omega-6 fat) to the daily diet can improve how the body uses insulin in adults who have insulin resistance. For 8 weeks, 120 participants in Chile will take either the test oil or a control blend while keeping their normal diet. Researchers will measure changes in insulin resistance, blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation markers to see if this oil offers health benefits.
