Shining a light on Alzheimer's: home therapy targets sleep and metabolism
NCT ID NCT03933696
Summary
This study tested whether a special daily light treatment at home could help people with early memory loss or mild Alzheimer's disease. Researchers wanted to see if the light could improve sleep, reduce body inflammation, help the body process sugar better, and slow cognitive decline. The 25 participants used the light for six months while researchers measured changes in their metabolism, sleep patterns, and thinking skills.
