Morning light and sleep schedule tested as new hope for Moms' depression

NCT ID NCT04364646

Summary

This study tested whether adding a non-drug treatment to standard care could better help pregnant women and new mothers with depression. The treatment involved using a bright light box each morning and following a personalized sleep schedule. Researchers compared this combined approach to standard care alone (like therapy or medication) in 120 participants to see if it improved mood by regulating the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.
