This study looks at whether the amount of light in the room changes how much anesthesia medicine people need during surgery. 66 adults having general anesthesia will be randomly assigned to wear an eye shield or not. Researchers will measure drug doses, time to fall asleep, and time to wake up to see if light plays a role.
