Can a lidocaine spray stop Post-Surgery shoulder pain?
NCT ID NCT07537127
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether spraying a low-dose lidocaine solution under the diaphragm during single-incision laparoscopic surgery can reduce shoulder pain afterward. About 100 women having surgery for benign gynecological conditions like ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids will take part. Half will get the lidocaine spray; the other half will receive standard care. Researchers will measure pain levels, painkiller use, and psychological well-being up to 30 days after surgery.
