First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests an oral drug called letermovir in 12 infants born with symptomatic congenital CMV, a virus that can cause hearing loss and developmental problems. The goal is to find the right dose and check how the body processes the drug. Babies will also receive standard treatment with valganciclovir. The study focuses on safety and drug levels, not on curing the infection.
