NCT ID NCT07524231
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing whether laughter yoga—a program of breathing, stretching, and laughter exercises—can reduce pain, stress, and fatigue in people with multiple sclerosis. Researchers will measure changes in pain intensity and beta-endorphin levels in 72 participants. The goal is to see if this gentle, non-drug approach can improve daily well-being for those living with MS.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
laughter yoga (breathing exercises, stretching, relaxation, and laughter techniques)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to help manage pain and stress for people with MS.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (72 people) testing a complementary therapy, not a standard treatment. Results may not apply to everyone, and the effect on MS itself is unknown.
